The ship was transporting passengers from Phuket to the Phi Phi Islands when it sank on the 4th of May, Thankfully, there were no casualties. This dive is considered advanced due to its depth and often strong currents.
The propellers are located at a depth of 30 meters, and the most interesting areas are around the passenger decks, specifically between 18 and 24 meters. In the last few years, the wreck has started to break up, and entry is no longer possible. But it can still be quite a dramatic dive, especially if you haven’t dived in one before.
Nemone Reef is a pinnacle that comes up to 4–7 meters from the surface and slopes down to over 25 meters at the seabed. Anemones cover it, just like many other dive sites in the area. These, in turn, provide shelter and protection for many different types of anemonefish, shrimp, and porcelain crabs.
Shark Point, or Hin Musang—shark rock in Thai—is considered by many one of the best dive sites in the area and Thailand; Shark Point rarely leaves divers disappointed. One of the three pinnacles breaks the surface. At their deepest, all three pinnacles range between 20 and 30 meters. Many purple and pink soft corals and massive gorgonian fans compete for space on this incredibly healthy dive.
