Reopening of Thailand for tourist and travellers

The long awaited re-opening of Thailand is drawing near for visitors vaccinated from 46 low-risk countries can enter with only 1 night Test & Go hotel. The entry requirements are stated below for vaccinated, unvaccinated and visitors from countries not on the 46 low risk countries travelling by air.

Thailand's Re-opening for tourists

Entry Requirements for Vaccinated Visitors from 46 Low Risk Countries

  • A certificate of vaccination – Children under 12 yrs old travelling with their parents are exempt from the vaccine requirements
  • A medical certificate with an RT-PCR negative lab result No more than 72 hrs before travel
  • A confirmed payment for 1 night stay at a SHA+ hotel, AQ, or AHQ and 1 RT-PCR test
  • Insurance policy with coverage no less than USD 50,000

Step 1: Apply for the Thailand Pass QR Code http://tp.consular.go.th
Step 2: Wait for an approval of the vaccine certificate and paid accommodation including RT-PCR
Step 3: Confirmation of approval received Thailand Pass QR Code

Upon Arrival

  • Present the QR Code to the health control to carry out checks, then proceed through immigration procedures
  • Undergo the RT-PCR test at the reserved accommodation or the pre arranged test centre
  • Proceed to the hotel by the pre arranged airport transfer(distance from airport within 2 hrs)
  • Download the MorChana App at the hotel
  • Stay at least 1 night at a SHA+, AQ, OQ or AHQ accommodation and wait for your test result in your room. ( Hospital partner reports results within 6 hrs)

If testing negative for COVID 19 visitors will receive an ATK for self testing. On day 6/7 visitors must upload to the MorChana App their results. When you leave the hotel you are free to go anywhere in Thailand.

Travelling around Thailand

Entry Requirements for Vaccinated Visitors from all Countries

  • A certificate of vaccination – Children under 12 yrs old travelling with their parents are exempt from the vaccine requirements (Nb: Must be fully vaccinated no less than 14 days before departure)
  • A medical certificate with an RT-PCR negative lab result No more than 72 hrs before travel
  • A confirmed payment for 7 night stay at a SHA+ hotel and 1 RT-PCR test
  • Insurance policy with coverage no less than USD 50,000

Step 1: Apply for the Thailand Pass QR Code http://tp.consular.go.th
Step 2: Passport
Step 3: Wait for an approval of the vaccine certificate and paid accommodation including RT-PCR
Step 4: Thai Visa if required
Step 5: Confirmation of approval received Thailand Pass QR Code

Upon Arrival Sandbox

  • Present the QR Code to the health control to carry out checks, then proceed through immigration procedures
  • Undergo the RT-PCR test at the reserved accommodation or the pre arranged test centre
  • Proceed to the hotel by the pre arranged airport transfer(distance from airport within 2 hrs)
  • Stay 7 night at a SHA+ accommodation and wait for your test result in your room. ( Hospital partner reports results within 6 hrs)

Once you have stayed in the mandatory 7 nights Sandbox a second RT-PCR test is required. If a negative result you will receive a release form to travel around Thailand.

Entry Requirements for UN-Vaccinated Visitors from Low Risk Countries

  • A certificate of vaccination – Children under 12 yrs old travelling with their parents are exempt from the vaccine requirements
  • A medical certificate with an RT-PCR negative lab result No more than 72 hrs before travel
  • A confirmed payment for 10 night stay at a AQ Hotel
  • Insurance policy with coverage no less than USD 50,000

Step 1: Apply for the Thailand Pass QR Code http://tp.consular.go.th
Step 2: Passport
Step 3: Wait for an approval of the vaccine certificate and paid accommodation including RT-PCR
Step 4: Must have 10 nights booked with an AQ Hotel and receipt added.
Step 5: Confirmation of approval received Thailand Pass QR Code

Upon Arrival AQ Hotel

  • Present the QR Code to the health control to carry out checks, then proceed through immigration procedures
  • Undergo the RT-PCR test at the reserved accommodation or the pre arranged test centre
  • Proceed to the hotel by the pre arranged airport transfer(distance from airport within 2 hrs)
  • Stay 10 night at a AQ Hotel

Once you have stayed in the mandatory 10 nights AQ a second RT-PCR test is required. If a negative result you will receive a release form to travel around Thailand.
