Although as yet no definite date has been confirmed by the Thai Government we are holding onto hope that 2021 Thailand opens back up to International Travel, Post Covid 2021 Southern Thailand Tourism,
Since writing this blog we are now into 2021, if anything the situation in Thailand has not improved. With no change of the government opening up to international travel with no quarantine, and waiting for the vaccine to yet be rolled out 2021 prospects appear bleak,
However, once Thailand re-opens, everyone is on for a very big treat. Southern Thailands Islands and beaches have recovered from mass tourism. The Islands have returned back to that Tropical Castaway Island feel we all seek.
Maybe I should have written – Post Covid 2022 Southern Thailand.
Covid 19 throughout 2020 has had a severe impact throughout the world, and the Travel & Tourism Industry, especially for Southern Thailand Tourism.
Covid19 has had a severe impact on the Thai people being without jobs, businesses closing down and families struggling to survive. Although communities pulled together to help the needy with, food handouts, baby food, clothing and water.
Small businesses opened up as Food Drop Off Points and charities arranging pick ups and drop off’s in designated areas.
Although it has been detrimental to the economy, there are however lots of positives to speak of, as the journey through 2020 continues. As we hold onto hope that soon the Travel & Tourism Industry around Southern Thailand can kick start into Post Covid 2021
During Covid 2020 the world slowed down as the virus spread, Thai and westerners became aware of how it feels to be isolated and invented things to connect to each other and their surrounds.
Boredom sprung into creativity, people allowed their imagination to run wild and be more creative.
New businesses opened up, Thai people reinvented themselves, locals selling Thai food again on the side of the road and outside their houses. This reminds me of the old times in Thailand which gradually became a thing of the past as they made way for mass tourism.
The small Thai restaurants, families cooked together, photos of their families hang on the walls as if you were sitting in the family lounge, but this all changed for mass tourism and modern western restaurants.
Marine life excelled, beaches clear again from plastics, and papers as once was pre the mass Tourism to Southern Thailand. The sea cleansed from rubbish, and chemicals that increased daily having a detrimental impacting on clarity and its marine life now the beauty has returned. The beaches yet again resemble castaway Tropical Islands.
Focusing on the positives and the New Norm which will bring a new experience for those returning to Southern Thailand Post Covid 2021. For the new, planning on travel to Thailand this will be a spectacular experience, one not to be missed.
Throughout Covid 19 Thailand Government and local Governments throughout Southern Thailand have invested in improvement to services, road works, electric cabling, waterworks and Tourism as a whole, making Thailand a safer place to be.
