About Angthong National Marine Park:
Angthong National Marine Park consists of 42 islands. This protected environment creates a safe habitat for many mammals, reptiles, and birds. It covers a total area of 102 sq. km.
The park, spanning across the mainland and the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, is primarily recognized for its stunning Talay Nai. The ceiling of a once-giant karst cavern collapsed, creating a magnificent inland saltwater lake.
This location inspired and partially filmed the movie ‘The Beach’ starring Leonardo Di Caprio. The water is clear, calm, and inviting, creating the perfect conditions to explore the park’s hidden treasures.
